Leah used to feel so guilty for taking the time away from her kids to meal prep on Sundays.
Until I asked her a radical question, "Why don't you have them help you?"
The look on her face...ya'll... you know you know that look! You're smiling right now because you're picturing your partner's look, too.
Fast forward a few months, and now the kids are experts!
Heck, we ran out of chicken the other day, and Mason prepped the chicken and grilled it all on his own.
How'd he feel about that?
"I'm proud of myself. I did it all by myself and helped you guys out."
By including them in the meal prep, we're:
Teaching them to cook
Teaching them to plan
Teaching them health habits
Spending quality time talking to them
Spending quality time listening to them
Teaching them to be self-sufficient
Saving money by not eating out
Teaching them not to live in front of a screen
(Kinda throws flips the guilt thing on it's head doesn't it?")
What does the bible say about raising up my children and eating?
-Proverbs 22:6
-Hebrew 12:11
-1 Corinthians 10:31
Children can either be why we cook or why we don't.
Children can either be a reason we're not healthy or an absolute reason we must be.
We choose to teach them healthy habits.
We'd love to have you join us.
Which do you choose?
If you need a hand, we're here for you
